Create a striped crochet top or mini dress for children with this detailed, made-to-measure pattern.
Both versions feature a three-row striped stitch pattern, decorative flower shoulder straps, shell edging and an adjustable back-neck opening.
The original cropped top is constructed from two complete panels that are worked separately and joined along the sides. The mini dress uses an easier construction method: the front and back are joined at underarm depth, and the remaining body is worked in joined, turned rounds.
The easier joined-round construction may also be used for the cropped top.
The tutorial sample fits approximately 4 years, with enough ease to continue fitting into the following year. Because the pattern is worked to measurement, it can be adjusted for other children’s sizes.

All width measurements are taken with the garment laid flat. Double the flat width for the approximate circumference.
